Outcome
A brand that creates a safe space for marginalized people's artistic and cultural expressions. This brand identity is marked by a postmodernist identity that takes visual cues from the graphic design and illustrations from the early seventies.
Coupled together, the old and new elements represent the brand’s vision of a people’s renaissance and its mission to be the catalyst for that vision.

Art, History and Big Yellow School Bus
The story of Professors is the story of a queer social worker with a deep love for art, people and social progress. It all started with a big yellow school bus and vision to create a space that cultivates the creativity and healing of marginalized people.
The founder Ines Rodriguez, motivated by the words of their abuela and strong in their conviction to be the change they want to see in the world, embarked on this journey to create a different kind of safe space, one that could be where the people were, when the people needed it. While the aesthetic is seventies, the color palette is inspired by their heritage and the vivid expressions of the people the organization works to serve!
Design
The visual identity of Professors may be rooted in the visual aesthetics of the seventies. Still, it isn’t a carbon copy of anything from that era. The logo illustrates the mobile community space/big yellow bus with hard-rimmed glasses on the front windows. Suggesting the community space itself is the professor of the namesake. The color palette features green, pink, yellow, and blue hues against a beige backdrop. The identity is minimalistic but includes some contextual graphic flair to bring the brand alive.
